CEO of Open Table Appointed to Board of Directors
oDesk, an Internet startup that lets companies access an On Demand global workforce, announced today that Thomas Layton, CEO of Open Table, has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Mr. Layton brings a tremendous amount of experience building marquee Internet businesses as well as an extensive network of relationships in the sector to the company. He was a cofounder of CitySearch, Inc., which later merged with Ticketmaster and is now a subsidiary of InterActiveCorp.
"Thomas brings oDesk over a decade of experience building innovative online businesses from the ground up," says Gary Swart, CEO of oDesk. "This gives him a unique vantage point into managing the sort of explosive organic growth oDesk is experiencing." oDesk is growing at a rate of 20 percent per month.

Mr. Layton joins oDesk's Board of Directors, which consists of Gary Swart, Odysseas Tsatalos, Venky Ganesan of Globespan Capital Partners, and Greg Gretsch of Sigma Partners. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Open Table.
