Freelancer.com Gives Away US$20,000 After Celebrating One Million Projects Posted
Recently Freelancer.com announced the winners of its One Million Projects Party contest, after wild celebrations were held all over the world with the biggest and best parties competing for up to US$20,000 in cash prizes.
“The almost one hundred individual parties all over the world celebrating our one millionth project perfectly demonstrates the Freelancer.com's global reach. Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us,” said Freelancer.com Chief Executive, Matt Barrie.
The $US10,000 grand prize for the Best Overall Party went to Paul Agabin from the Philippines for this laser-tag theme party. He also took out the US$2,500 for Best Decoration category.
Accepting the award, Paul said, “For us it was an opportunity to have some fun and celebrate the site that has provided us a great deal of work. We just enjoyed ourselves and never really thought about winning the contest. Thank you everyone and Freelancer.com!" he said.
“The first one million projects is just the beginning,” Barrie continued. “More and more businesses are ramping-up through Freelancer.com as online outsourcing becomes ubiquitous.”
