Freelancefree.com is a fee free freelancing marketplace which offers employers and freelancers the opportunity to post projects or bid on projects for free. At the time of review the site had over 100 active projects listed, 4500 employers and over 12,000 freelancers. The site shows potential and is certainly one to watch in the future, but its still a long way behind the leaders in the field, probably useful for freelancers to pick up some extra work - but unlikely to be enough to make a living.
For Buyers
As the name suggests its completely free for buyers to register and post an unlimited number of projects. The number of freelancers is limited compared to the major freelancing sites, so you may find getting a good volume of bids quickly difficult.
For Providers
No commissions mean freelancefree.com is worth a try! Over 100 active projects at any point in time and 5000 registered employers mean you have a shot at getting some work from this site, but its probably only worthy of being an additional source not your exclusive one.
Our Verdict
Seems promising and with no fees, you have nothing to lose from registering as a buyer or freelancer but it lags a long way behind the leaders in the market and is unlikely to usurp them anytime soon. The interface is simple, but offers none of the frills associated with the major players.
Buyer Tip
Worth a shot, but if your project is urgent it may be worth also posting on a big marketplace.
Provider Tip
100 open projects, low volumes of bids and less competition mean you have a good chance of getting jobs you apply for here. Don't give up your day job or regular freelancing site for it quite yet though!
